Dr. Geraldine Abbatiello, Ph.D. in Nursing, is dual licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She is Nationally Certified in Gerontology, Hospice & Palliative Care, Pain Management & Hypnosis.  

Dr. Abbatiello received a Ph.D. in Nursing at Loyola University in Chicago. Her dissertation, “Rupture in the Ordinary”, reflects on the meaning of life amidst personal loss.  Throughout her nearly 40-year career in nursing, Dr. Abbatiello has held clinical positions, academic ranks, and has been an invited speaker at National and International Conferences.

Dr. Abbatiello's approach toward improving one's quality of life utilizes multimodal interventions in a dialectic with the person. Her practice through a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens sees therapeutic interventions as person centered and guided learning. This  educational approach enhances self- awareness, problem solving and quality of life.

This approach has extended to educational venues to service both comprehensive educational  needs...clinical, psychosocial, spiritual.

Dr. Abbatiello works one-on-one with patients in a clinical setting, in classrooms with 30+ students, & at conferences with 200+ participants. Regardless of 'the room', her core message remains; the creation of an alliance of respect & trust to support and encourage the individual.
